Avniv, an Israeli grower and exporter of fresh produce, will begin shipping grapes and figs this month. While both figs and grapes look good, this year’s grape crop is of particular note.
“The grapes are amazing this season,” said Niva Ben Zion, founder and CEO of Avniv. “We’ve had a nice yield, big berry, sweet and good quality, and lots of volume, too.” According to Niva, Avniv could
export up to 300 tons of grapes this year to Europe’s larger markets like the UK, Netherlands and Russia. Because the first grapes of the season are of such good quality, she added that Avniv will pack
them in ziplock bags for export. The bags, in turn, will be shipped in 4.5 kilogram boxes.
